A trip through Lacey Keosauqua (Van Buren Cty) and several areas of Shimek Forest (Lee Cty) and Black Hawk Bottoms in Des Moines Cty yielded 93 species including 15 sp. of Warblers. Highlights included Least Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, E. Kingbird, Philadelphia Vireo, Wood thrush, Blue-winged Warbler, Golden-winged Warbler, Orchard Oriole, Yellow-throated Vireo, Prothonotary Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, Kentucky Warbler, Summer and Scarlet Tanager, Henslow's Sparrow, Lark Sparrow.
