A blustery evening at Cardinal Marsh saw the following waterfowl. 1 black duck, 1 shoveler, 1 hooded merganser, 1 double-crested cormorant, 2 white pelicans, plus wood ducks, mallards, blue-winged teal, Canada geese & coot. A few warblers working though the willows out of the wind included palm, yellow, yellow-rumped, common yellowthroat and 1 blackpoll. Saw my first black terns of the year (2) and 23 nighthawks were "hawking" bugs off the west side of the marsh at dusk.
