Birding during an all-day rain is one thing, but coupling that with a 20-30 mph wind is another thing all together, so I didn't bother until it dried up at 5:00. There were quite a few cool and soggy Empids, with Least, Alder, and Yellow-bellied calls heard. At least 8 Swainson's Thrushes around, with dripping vegetation shielding more. The only vireos I spotted were Red-eyed. Warblers included Tennessee, Magnolia, Wilson's, Common Yellowthroat, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, and numerous Redstarts. The neighborhood Cooper's Hawk passed over leading squadrons of grackles and starlings.

Things ought to start jumping a bit tomorrow morning when the sun and bugs come out.
