Hi All, There is a singing Bewick's Wren in southern Johnson County. It is located on the Ropp farm northeast of Kalona. Directions as follows: From the cheese factory on highway 1 roughly 4 miles north of Kalona, go east a mile and a half (a mile east of the Stringtown General Store) to the farm on the north side of the road at the crest of a hill where there is a sign "Stringtown Farm Market". This is in the Amish community, and there is no way to telephone ahead. Darrell Ropp, a teenage son and his older brother Merle found the bird, and they would he happy to host you. There are also nesting Eurasian Tree Sparrows there. As of today, you would need boots. Good birding, Jim Fuller, Iowa City
