Saylorville has dropped rapidly to its normal pool level of 836, as of
today, leaving miles of exposed shoreline, beaches, Jester's mudflats, etc.
They appear to be rather sterile at the moment, however, and few
invertebrates present make for scant shorebirds as well. The best birding
was off of Jester with 600 W. Pelican now present, along with 8 Caspian
Terns, and only a few shorebirds, mainly L. Yellowlegs and a few Peeps.
