Birders,
I checked Saylorville this morning. There was a small group of about 50
shorebirds at Oak Grove consisting mostly of Pectoral Sandpipers, Least
Sandpipers, and Killdeer. However, there were also 3 Spotted Sandpipers and
2 Semipalmated Plovers as well. At Oak Grove beach, there were 2 Forster's
Terns.

In the wooded picnic area of Oak Grove, I found a warbler flock consisting
of 2 Black-and-White Warblers, 4 Chestnut-sided Warblers, a Canada Warbler,
an American Redstart, a Blackburnian Warbler, and a Philadelphia Vireo.

Off the dam were 3 Caspian Terns.

Good birding,
John Bissell
Grimes
