Some nice birds at Sweet Marsh on a lovely September afternoon-- No. Harrier (female)coursing over marsh on west end Barn Swallows Osprey (dove twice, on 2nd dive came up with a fish and perched till...a Bald Eagle (mature) - appeared to give chase to the osprey! Great Egret Several Great Blue Herons Belted Kingfisher Semi-Palmated Plover Several Killdeer Spotted Sandpiper (noticeable tail pumping action) Am. Goldfinch Wood Ducks
Non-avian species: Quite a few turtles, one even crossing the trail on the west end of marsh. Lots of frogs hopping on edges and two snakes! Too many dragonflies to count.
