Birders, I was sitting at my computer in our house in west Ames when I heard something hit the window. I ran out and picked up the little bird as it was scrabbling around on the deck, thinking I could take it to the wildlife clinic, and was surprised to discover it was my life/state/county/yard Black-throated Blue Warbler. Unfortunately it expired but it will end up in the Iowa State University collection. We haven't had a problem with our windows but I'm going to put something up now.
