I observed the Snowy Owl at dusk at 5:15 p.m., today, January 15th. The
bird was perched at the top of a utility pole located on the south side of
200th street about a quarter mile west of the intersection of 200th Street
and 580th Avenue here in Story County. Within a minute or two, the bird
flew west along 200th street eventually landing at the top of another
utility pole on 200th Street nearing its intersection with 570th Avenue.
