Hello Birders,
   The Snowy Owl in Monona County was in the exact same location that Paul
Roisen mentioned in a previous email (south of the Whiting Exit on I-29).
It sticks out like a sore thumb and is easy to spot, even when driving 70
mph....I got a photo of it which can be seen here:

I was on the way back from a successful search for the Common Crane in
Nebraska when I saw the owl. For anyone interested, a photo of the crane
