The column below contains an impressive amount of misinformation packed in a few paragraphs. I hope that some Iowa conservation organization(s) will respond to this. In my opinion, it would be better for the REGISTER to give up their current pretense of outdoor coverage rather than publish "facts" like these. I'm grateful that the AMES TRIBUNE provides good, in teresting outdoor journalism every single week, coverage that has an underlying conservation ethic.
