Iowa Breeding Bird Atlas Project field technicians needed. Four temporary (28 
May–24 August 2012) full-time field technician positions are available through 
Iowa State University. Applicants will complete breeding bird atlas work in 
selected blocks statewide as part of the final year of the Iowa Breeding Bird 
Atlas Project (http://bba.iowabirds.org/). Job requirements include the ability 
to identify Iowa breeding birds by sight and sound, follow detailed Iowa BBA 
field protocols, work independently, have a strong work ethic, be willing to 
work in early morning and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and 
complete all data entry requirements. Preference will be given to applicants 
who demonstrate previous work experience with the Iowa BBA or a similar effort 
in another state or province. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and 
clean driving record. Salary is $10 per hour, 40 hours per week.  A vehicle for 
project-related travel will be provided in addition to limited travel funds to 
cover lodging/camping for overnight travel. To apply please email a cover
