Today was pretty good at the Mississippi River even though nearly
ice free. A few thousand gulls provided an evening spectacle at
Butterworth Parkway but otherwise the gulls were mainly at the dams.
Waterfowl numbers at Pool 14 were surprisingly low, maybe due to open
waters up north. Unexpected was a flock of WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS
at Hampton Cemetery in Illinois.
