It won't be long until bird migrations really begin to pick up steam. Our
2012 IOU meeting dates are placed for some optimum birding opportunities
with local and nationally known bird experts. There will be something for
all levels of expertise at these meetings. For now, mark your calendars
and watch for further meeting news. You won't want to miss these birding
opportunities.
Spring meeting - May 18 - 20 in Iowa City.
Karen Disbrow and the Iowa City Bird Club have put together a
fabulous line-up for the
weekend. Alvaro Jaramillo is the keynote presenting "How to Bird
Like a Pro" at the
banquet. He will be working with us for the entire weekend.

Fall meeting - Aug.24-26 in Marshalltown
These dates worked so well for us last year for birds, learning
and fun. Heading up the
weekend will be Sheri Williamson presenting "Hummingbirds -More
Then Just Eye Candy" at
the banquet. She, too, will be with us for the weekend. Many
consider her the authority
on hummingbirds in the the US.
