Today on the wetland 1 mile west of Bjorkboda Marsh on the Hamilton/Boone County line I found probably a couple hundred Greater White-fronted Geese. There was also a mix of White and Blue Snow Geese .
Also, on 200th St. in Story County between 570th & 580th Ave. NE of Ames, were a pair of very cooperative Gray Partridge. I pulled into the field entry to turn around, and the pair just sat there about 15-20 feet from the car.
