With much amusement, I have been watching a Cardinal in our parking lot this
week. He has been busy defending his territory from other intruding males,
that he sees in the mirrors attached to car doors. It is a good thing we have
warm weather as he is burning up a lot of energy in battles with his
reflection. Otherwise, I think he would be too exhausted to survive the cold
nights. Or maybe he just has a super big ego and likes to see himself perform
in front of mirrors.
