Birders, I birded a few spots in Winnebago, Worth, and Cerro Gordo Counties this morning. Highlights:
Myre Slough: Flocks of Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs and Pectoral Sandpipers Swamp Sparrows A large blackbird flock containing both Rusties and Brewers Greater White-fronted Geese Mallard Marsh: Pectoral Sandpipers Pilot Knob SP: Fox Sparrows Hermit Thrush Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers Yellow-rumped Warblers Ruby-crowned Kinglets Hanlontown Slough: Swamp Sparrows Numerous Blue-winged Teal and Gadwall On the way up here yesterday, I also had a Loggerhead Shrike along Highway 175 near Jewell.
