James Huntington and I checked the Cone Marsh area this morning. Overall it was pretty quiet. Some selected sightings:
--Brewer's Blackbirds in 2 locations -- Atwood/196th (Muscatine/Johnson counties) and 220th west of the SW corner of Cone Marsh (Louisa County) --13 Sandhill Cranes --a few dabblers remaining but duck numbers way down from previous weeks --5 shorebirds species (AG Plover, Killdeer, Wilson's Snipe, L.
