I couldn't stand the suspense. I went back to the Lake MacBride and there he was in all his glory - a Red-Breasted Merganser. Both he and the Horned grebe were just west of Mehaffey Bridge Rd on the south shore of Lake MacBride, between the first and second parking lots in amongst the geese islands. -Sharon Somers North Liberty
