Yesterday a single relatively early Dunlin was observed among the hundreds of
Pectoral Sandpipers at Virgin Lake in Palo Alto county, and today a single
Yellow-headed Blackbird was at Dan Green Slough and a single Forster's Tern was
early to be working the north end of Trumbull Lake this far north in Clay
county.

Ninety-two Greater White-fronted Geese and seventeen Snow Geese were still at
Dan Green Slough today along with a good variety of other waterfowl.

I still could not find a Smith's Longspur this far north but I got lots of
exercise walking good open habitat in the Dewey's Pasture complex today. They
are keeping me fit and giving me fits at the same time!
