This afternoon I found a male hybrid Blue-winged X Cinnamon Teal in a small
wetland along 190th Avenue in NW Ames near Prairie Moon Winery.

I forgot to mention that last weekend while sitting on our deck I watched an
American Crow (presumably the same individual) fly over our yard carrying a
mouse. It did this three times in less than an hour. I can't believe it was
feeding young at this date, and found it interesting that this individual was
so efficient at catching small rodents.
