In with the warm rain, the laughter and acrobatics of a mockingbird has
come to the Echollective Farm. Getting the market van ready this morning I
heard it, but I had to be sure and grabbed my binoculars. Perched atop a
juniper I saw it, and it saw me and flew to a grove of hickory and cherry,
flashing white wing windows. Excitedly, I started listening for it all
throughout the day, and watched it singing upon the compost spreader and
the mulberry at the top of the hill, where it was spontaneously flying
straight skyward and back. What a joy!
