Greetings from western Iowa. On a gravel road near Moorehead Park I
observed 20 male and 2 female Boblinks on a fence line - cool! A walk
through Moorehead included FOY Magnolia Warbler, Northern Parula,
Gray-cheeked Thrush and Broad-winged Hawk. I also stumbled upon a nest in
the making by a Red-eyed Vireo. As the nest is about ten feet high above
a bike trail, I'll have the opportunity to watch the progress of the young
through the next month or so. Closer to home I added a Brown-headed
Cowbird to my yard list. First sighting in the limits of Ida Grove.

Good birding

Pete
