I took a trip to Shimek S.F. and Lacey Keosauqua S.P. The first
stop was at the Argyle junkyard to look for Bewicks W. which
didn't show up. But I did get great looks at a male Hooded Warbler
that was very vocal and territorial. At the Croton Unit in Shimek,
Donnelson Unit, and Lick Creek Unit I found the following birds:
Worm-eating Warbler 1 (Thanks Jim Fuller and Jim Scheib for directions)
Yellow-breasted Chat 3- Croton Unit
Kentucky Warbler 11- Croton, Donnelson, Lick Creek, Lacey K.
White-eyed Vireos 12- Croton and Donnelson Units
Pine Warbler 1- Donnelson Unit (at the 1st pull-off on side of road)
L.Waterthrush 4
Yellow-throated Warbler 8
Olive-sided Flycatcher 1
Mockingbird 1- seen by Jim fuller and Jim Scheib-I missed this one!
Bobwhite Quail 4

Good Birding,
Tommy Stone
