The Saturday events (and Sunday breakfast) at the IOU spring meeting will be held at the Johnson Co. Fairgrounds in Iowa City. Camping on the grounds is $10/night. Tent campers can camp anywhere on the large expanse of grass which is next to Ryerson Woods, a state preserve. RVs can park anywhere on pavement - no hookups. Showers and restrooms are in Bldg. C
The fairgrounds are just south of Iowa City almost in sight of I -380. Take exit 89 (Riverside Drive - the old hwy 218). A large, brand new ISU extension bldg. is on the east side of our parking lot. The fairgrounds are 3.5 miles from the Natural History Museum and about 4 - 5 miles from most hotels. The Heartland Inn has extended its IOU rate until May 16th.
