I made a long loop today through several sites in Greene Co. and then checked
Jester Park on my way home. I tallied almost 130 species including a nice
diversity of shorebirds and warblers. The best finds were a Peregrine Falcon
and a Ruddy Turnstone at Dunbar and 1 Whimbrel, 1 Hudsonian Godwit (looking
very much like a Marbled until it flew - this individual has been present for
several days now), 7 Ruddy Turnstones, 4 tern species (no Least), and a
continuing Northern Mockingbird at Jester.
