Spent a relaxing evening scoping out the shorebirds at Cardinal Marsh. Conditions on segment 2 are outstanding right now. Good variety and numbers, including least sandpiper, semipalmated sandpiper, pectoral sandpiper, spotted sandpiper, solitary sandpiper and stilt sandpiper. Both lesser and greater yellowlegs wading around. Killdeer very plentiful and quite colorful in the setting sun. Sandhill cranes and sora rails were a bonus.
