Last night I was called by Dr. Dinsmore about a Loggerhead Shrike at Broadway St. and Hwy C20. I went and got some photos of it, and was then surprised when the bird I was taking pictures of did a distress call, and two other individuals flew up on either side. I thought maybe they were a migrating family group, however, upon consultation it's probably likely that there was a LOSH breeding event in NW Humboldt Co.
Anyways, I went back out to the intersection this evening and relocated the three individuals. Thanks to Dr. Dinsmore for the heads up.
