While migrants are on the move some other birds are still feeding young or
sitting on eggs.  In the pretty rolling hills (not far from Marshalltown)
Monday some highlights while doing BBA work.

Tama Co.
Flock of gray partridge
Black & White Warbler
Wilson's Warbler
Golden-winged Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler

Iowa Co. in the Iowa River corridor.
Canada Warbler 2
Black & White
Chestnut -sided -3
Sora Rail - in a sea of field thistle and mixed prairie plants
Pied-billed Grebe 3 - in a back water pond full of carp
Sandhill Cranes -2 
Pair of Pewees locking feet and tumbling from the sky like eagles with
locked talons. Not just once but six times.
Report of a black hummingbird with a gold throat and chest - going to have
to ask sheri Williamson about that one at the upcoming IOU meeting in
Marshalltown.
