Amana Lily Lake (Iowa Co.)had a sleeping MARBLED GODWIT in the shallows
of its southeast corner this morning. Not many shorebirds but teal numbers
have exploded.

Hanging Rock Ridge (HWMA) wasn't much good for warblers with cloudy
conditions but a juv. BROAD-WINGED HAWK landed in a tree right in front
of me and even vocalized a bit.

Matson Pond (HWMA) remained about the same even though it rained. New
to the pond were a pair of juv. Short-billed Dowitchers and the juvenile
Wilson's Phalarope was still present. Over the river was a soaring
juv. RED-SHOULDERED HAWK which I really enjoyed seeing.
