I spent the sunny, but chilly morning at East and West Peterson Park
today. Being so shortly removed from our "Sahara-esque" July, this very
Fall-like August has been quite a contrast, although a welcome one.

I will continue today's theme of few and far between warbler's by only
reporting seeing one, a Canada Warbler.

Today's other highlights: Osprey (did some low loops around the lake, got
some great pics), Red-eyed Vireo, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (I believe),
Belted Kingfisher, juvenile Red-tailed Hawk (who had yet to develop a
healthy fear of people, so I got some more great pics), first summer Green
Heron, Broad-winged Hawk.

Overall, it did seem a bit slow today. I was anticipating better results
with all of the great reports, but just being out there is certainly more
than worth the effort.
