At the risk of overloading the IA-BIRD list serve:  Gray Partridge 9-10 in Palo
Alto county.  Forgot to mention them in my first post of the day.  An email
from James Huntington triggers my failing memory.

After numerous attempts to locate Gray Partridge this year I was led to find 4
of them by making a special trip from Sioux City to Sac County.  Yeah.
However, as so often happens after one of my "twitching" trips, the very bird I
search so hard for just showed up.  Such was the case today.  The 9-10 birds
were along Hwy 18 about 6 miles east of Cylinder IA just before leaving Palo
Alto County.  Two stayed on the side of the road the others were spooked by a
west bound car and flew across the highway about 30 years in front of Anna and
I.

There may be a lesson somewhere in all of this.

God Bless,
