Today I found Matson Pond (HWMA) on the verge of drying up but I
can't predict when. The 3 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES had returned and with
the other shorebirds (8 species) gave me the closest looks possible.
A bonus bird was an Olive-sided Flycatcher seen on my way out.

Also, the warblers at F.W. Kent Park were fewer in species (8) but
an adult male Mourning Warbler and juvenile made it a good outing.

Ring-billed Gulls have really been increasing at Coralville Lake and
today we had 2 Franklin's Gulls in addition. Also, a Forster's Tern
in fading fresh juvenile plumage, uncommon in my experience.
