Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge has just released a draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan for the next 15 years. The plan is now available for public comment. The link provides information on how to comment. There will also be an opportunity to provide comments at an open house at the refuge on August 29 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Since one of the main goals of the refuge is to provide habitat for wildlife, particularly grassland birds, this should be of interest to birders.
