Today I had a both Philadelphia Vireo and a Northern Waterthrush in my yard.
I was able to get a nice photo of the Philadelphia. I posted it with 2
Warbling Vireos next to it in the album. One Warbling is very dark with
yellow on the sides and darker lores. It resembles Sibley's dull
Philadelphia and had me puzzled somewhat. I conferred with some members
with more ID knowledge who said the Philly needs some yellow on the throat
and darker features. If you would like to compare a Philly, darker Warbling
and lighter Warbling Vireos, you can look at the link below. The Philly is
the 3rd photo in the album and the Warblings are 4th and 5th.
