As Ann posted, there was a Roseate Spoonbill seen at 6:30 at Jester Park.
It was relocated at around 7:15 from the visitor's center. Aaron Breese
got some poor but diagnostic photos.

The bird was actively foraging at the southern portion of the vegetation.
It was obscured from view much of the time. There are a few channels that
cut through the flats just south of a small buoy where it was feeding. It
also was seen on the far side of the vegetation on a large flat facing the
Big Creek Spillway.

As of 8:15 it was nearly dark and the bird had not left to find a roost.
Many of the Great Egrets also seemed to be settling among the pelicans far
to the south. Perhaps the bird will roost among them tonight?

There were also a few American Avocets present this evening that Aaron
Breese located.

Good luck if any of you are going in the morning to try and find it.
