Hi All,

In the combination of seeing what the radar looked like last night, hearing
migrants overhead as I left my house at 530 this morning, and yet more migrants
passing over as I sat at Jester Park before sunrise, I thought it best to visit
somewhere after my 8 AM class for some migrants. What better place than my
local patch?

Admittedly, I was disappointed to find mowing crews in the park upon my arrival
and essentially played cat and mouse with them much of the time I was there.
That said, there was definitely a large arrival last evening, mostly in Vireos.
Some highlights:

9 Eastern Wood-Pewees (adult feeding begging juveniles, likely from the active
nest here a couple weeks ago)
2 Yellow-bellied Flycatchers (one insistently singing)
12 Eastern Kingbirds
FOS Blue-headed Vireo
32 Red-eyed Vireos
FOS Ruby-crowned Kinglet
27 Gray Catbirds
1 Black-and-white Warbler
3 American Redstarts
1 Wilson's Warbler
2 warbler sp. (one of which I 'm thinking was an early Orange-crowned, but alas
it got away....)
