October 6, Lansing, IA - 11-miles south of Minnesota border, and
approx. 3 city blocks west of Wisconsin border, at least one and
possibly two juvenile/female hummingbirds are still enjoying sweet
water at our feeders despite recent temperature drop.
Large concentrations of American White Pelicans and Tundra Swans have
overlapped very nicely around here in mid-late October in recent
years. Now, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and peak fall colors are
overlapping as well.
