I made a stop at the lily lake today, finding the brown lily pads
thinning out and more open water exposed. Pelicans, egrets, ducks
and geese were evident and also a juvenile BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON.
It was difficult to see among the similar colored vegetation but 
luckily I spotted it. I wonder what else is hidden in that stuff.
