The Grundy County Lake at Dike continued to be home for now for the Surf Scoter.

Later, we birded Blackhawk Creek WLA (just north of Morrison) in Grundy County. What a neat place! After nine or ten Ruby-crowned Kinglets, we finally found the one Golden-crowned Kinglet we needed for the year list. There were over a dozen Hermit Thrushes and one surprising Palm Warbler.
