On my 2 walks and drives around western parts of Grinnell to the Jacob Krumm area I saw at least 2 dozen Redtail hawks including at least 6 juveniles, saw clusters of 3-4 in several locations and watched some catch thermals and migrate out of the area. Also saw 2 Bald eagles. It brought back memories of my recent trip out west where in one small area of western Kansas saw an incredible amount of Redtail hawks along with some Ferruginous hawks, at least 50 total in a localized area, never saw so many in one place in my life.
