Hello Birders, My family and I had a nice weekend of camping at Waubonsie State Park in Fremont Co. The best bird of the trip was a single Red Crossbill, which I heard chipping overhead while hiking the Sunset Ridge Trail today. The bird was flying south towards some unknown destination. It sounded like a type 3 bird, but I am not certain. Also of note were many Pine Siskins, Carolina Wren (5), and a Merlin.
