While birding the Russell White Nature Trail in eastern Carroll County this afternoon, I was fortunate enough to spot a Northern Saw-Whet Owl among a stand of cedars. I watched as he preened his feet and that was rather endearing. He didn't seem to care that he was being watched. Finding this guy definitely made the drive well worth it!!
