Hi All, The Surf Scoter continues in the Cherry Glen Estates subdivision just east of Hwy 415 (just north of NW 5th St. along NW Cherry Glen Dr.) in Ankeny. I viewed it over the lunch hour with several hundred Geese, including Canada, Cackling and Greater White-fronted. A handful of Canvasbacks and a pair of Ring-necked Ducks were also present. Larger numbers of Canada Geese and Mallards were spread around the other ponds in the neighborhood as well as overhead.
