Six field parties working in rain, drizzle, and fog with temperatures in the forties tallied 84species on the Rathbun CBC. The better birds were Eared Grebes/5, Horned Grebe/2, Am White Pelican/85, Green-winged Teal/2, Mallards/12m+, Canvasback/6, Northern Goshawk/1, Bobwhite/13, Am Coot/1, Killdeer/5, Bonaparte's Gull/20+, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker/1, Hermit Thrush/2, Northern Shrike/3, Yellow-rumped Warbler/6+, Swamp Sparrow/1, and Pine Siskin/3. Notable misses were Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveler, Rough-legged Hawk, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Meadowlark sp. Ray Cummins/Centerville
