Despite blustery, rainy weather (although mild) weather, the Burlington CBC had a good count on Saturday. We ended with 82 species--2 behind last year and 4 less than our record 86. Highlights included: Snow Goose, N. Pintail, Greater Scaup, N. Bobwhite, Am. White Pelican, Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawk, Merlin, Peregrine Falcon, Eurasian Collared-Dove, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, N. Shrike, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Winter Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Fox Sparrow, Harris's Sparrow, Lapland Longspur. I would like to thank all our participant who worked hard in the not so nice weather conditions. Chuck Fuller Burlington Compiler
