The Armstrong's, Phil Walsh and I did a Badger Creek/Saylorville/Big Creek/Voas loop today. In spite of the rainy morning we tallied 85 species. Along with 23 waterfowl species, other highlights were:
Common Loon - Big Creek Osprey (pair) - Jester Rough-legged Hawk - Jester Lesser Yellowlegs - Sandpiper Beach Pectoral Sandpiper - Oak Grove Beach Lesser Black-backed Gull (adult) - Oak Grove Beach Loggerhead Shrike - Big Creek (100th St) Vesper Sparrow - Voas We also had an Otter at Cherry Glen.
