While I enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of rain and thunder last night,
leaving my window open overnight opens up a new plethora of consequences. I
suppose not the least of which was a Robin singing directly outside my window
just after 4 AM. After somehow slipping back into slumber, I was awoken again
at about 645 by a chattering Winter Wren (new yard bird). A Northern Flicker
was also talking (unusual for the neighborhood), and a Zonotrichia sparrow was
calling somewhere, although I was reluctant to move to the window and take a
peek. Seems as though some birds were still on the move around the showers last
night!

I wonder where my list of species stands of those heard from my bed?
