Before the Field Trip, I saw a Red-breasted Nuthatch at home. And stopped at the South Arm Lake Macbride, on my way to MNRA: Canada Goose [8], Wood Duck [4], Blue-winged Teal [4], and Pied-billed Grebe [1].


This was a Beginning Birders Trip.  Macbride Nature Recreation Area: Canada Goose [3], Wild Turkey [1], American White Pelican [40], Turkey Vulture [10], Osprey [1], Cooper's Hawk [1], Franklin's Gull [7], Ring-billed Gull [1], Red-bellied Woodpecker [1], Yellow-bellied Sapsucker [1], Downy Woodpecker [3], Blue Jay [2], American Crow [2], Black-capped Chickadee [11], Tufted Titmouse [2], Red-breasted Nuthatch [1], White-breasted Nuthatch [2], Brown Creeper [2], Winter Wren [1], Golden-crowned Kinglet [1], Ruby-crowned Kinglet [1], Eastern Bluebird [1], American Robin [2], Chipping Sparrow [1], White-throated Sparrow [2], Dark-eyed Junco [10], Northern Cardinal [4], Brown-headed Cowbird [1], and American Goldfinch [3].


On my way home I pulled over and looked at the Fox Run Pond, off of Scales Bend Rd:  Canada Goose [4], Mallard [2], Lesser Scaup [2], Bufflehead [3], Pied-billed Grebe [1], and Tree Swallow [8]


Later yet at home I saw a Pine Siskin.
