There have been two pairs of osprey that have been hanging around the McCollister bridge by Sand Lake. I found the nest site of one of the pairs. As your off of Riverside Drive on to McCollister Blvd, you will see a large tower on the right side of the road. The tower is just across from the U of I suplus building. At the very top of the tower on the one corner is the nest. The Osprey were mating on top of the nest yesterday morning. Both Osprey were sitting on top of the tower last night and again this morning.
